A Song in the Cold Wind

The cold wind of loss blew fiercely, cutting deep and causing excruciating pain, forcing the young woman to retreat back into her familiar, warm corner. She couldn’t bear it… she couldn’t stand… amidst this physical and emotional suffering.
However, the words of the young man who had invaded her room so easily, as if he had done this hundreds and thousands of times before, shattered the armor she had used to protect herself.
