Too Close to Love
Too Close to Love
“Fon… do you realize that you’re usually such a man of your word? Even if the sky fell and the earth crumbled, if you made plans with a friend, you would never bail on them. But you ditched me. And that’s not even counting… letting your friend sleep in your room and then kicking me out. It’s clear that my importance to you is at the bottom of the list. I’m so heartbroken and disappointed.”
“You…” Pirunrak dragged out the word, her face pale with genuine guilt. She pulled Putt’s hand, which was holding hers, to her face. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry a hundred times, a thousand times. I truly feel guilty. You’re so important to me. I swear, for me… you’re the friend I love most.”
“No!”
Putt refused firmly, causing Pirunrak’s face to turn pale. She pulled his hand away from her face, her arms falling to her sides.
“You could have thought about it. Why refuse so immediately?”
“Listen to me carefully, Fon,” Putt grabbed her delicate shoulders with both hands, gazing deeply into her tear-filled eyes. “I will never… go back to being your friend again.”
Pirunrak burst into tears again, shocked by his decisive words, almost yelling in despair. If it weren’t for his next sentence…which left her almost speechless,
“Because from now on, you will be my wife…my wife and only mine.”
“W-w-what…what are you saying?!”
