God and the Crow
God and the Crow
- Categories: Literature
The story that follows takes place in an age when many things had yet to be named. The land was scattered with independent city-states, each refusing to unite as one. Sailors could not yet chart the boundaries between sea and shore, and no one had named this continent after its shape as “A Bird in Flight Returning to Its Nest.”
It was an ancient time, when all four moons still hung in the sky, competing in brilliance until the night shone like a celebration of the gods. People gathered in clusters by cities and tribes. Humans still worshipped deities, and demons walked among mortals.
Klein, an ordinary physician in the village of Rennes, lived a simple life with his wife in a small hut by the forest, getting by from day to day. Amid the raging flames of war that swept across the land, he never imagined that he would one day become entangled in an endless struggle for power, eventually playing a crucial role in helping one man reshape the course of history.
War, schemes, clashes between rival powers, and the hidden intentions behind a companion’s journey north
As if that were not enough to upend his life, Klein uncovers a secret behind the war
Their most formidable enemy… is bound to a demon.
