Pannana, a writer known under the pen name Thawan Phetai,
rose to sudden fame with her hit detective novel The Hanging.

Now, she is struggling with severe writer’s block, her mental state unraveling by the day.

At the urging of her best friend—who also happens to be her publisher—
she travels to meet Alichaa, a red-haired woman known for her meticulous ability to proofread and refine her work to perfection.

Pannana hopes to recruit her as a research assistant for her next novel.

But Alichaa comes with a strange condition:
“If I place my eyes upon something… it becomes a page of a book.”

Because of this, Pannana finds herself unexpectedly staying at Alichaa’s large, box-shaped house to work in isolation.

What follows is a growing sense of confusion…
