Midnight Flight

I’m “Circe,” someone caught between good and bad. If you see the world positively, I’m the one who encourages others. If you see it negatively… I’m the one who exploits others’ weaknesses to fill my own pockets. India, the interior designer hired to decorate my new home office, probably thinks that way. She dislikes me and has labeled me a fraud. Determined to beat me, she does everything to learn about me— but it seems fate intervened, without my asking. One morning, I woke up in the body of Narin, the man India hates and is about to break up with. As I learn who she is and where she comes from, old feelings resurface. Guilt and a desire to make amends transform my urge to win into a wish to soothe her heart instead. To me, she is a sunflower— bringing comfort when touched by the sun. I want to be like a midnight plane, comforting her to rest with the gentle hum of silent engines.
