“What do I get if I give you my number?”
the young man asked, arms crossed, his gaze sweeping over the woman in a stylish, strapless top tied in a large, bright red bow visible from five hundred meters away, paired with dark, low-waisted jeans that showed off her smooth, white stomach.
“A friend to talk to,” she replied
. “I don’t like talking,”
he said. “Then you can just listen,” she offered.
“I don’t have that much free time,”
his answer made Teerana chuckle softly. She liked his straightforwardness; even if his words weren’t entirely pleasant to hear, they were clear.
“I won’t talk as long as those call center scammers, I promise. I’ll only bother you a little,”
Teerana winked, gesturing to indicate it was just a little, before offering her own phone to the man, refusing to give up.
“If you’re single and not dating anyone, you should give me your number. Let’s not beat around the bush… I want to get to know you.”
Bariwat looked into the woman’s eyes, searching for answers. He wasn’t sure if it was her straightforwardness in wanting to get to know him, or the seriousness reflected in her eyes, that made him take the phone and enter his ten-digit number before returning it to her.
