When you think of the cherry on top of an ice cream, what comes to mind? On some days, the cherry may be the courage to keep walking the path you have chosen, even when it is difficult because everything feels new. On other days, it may be the sweetness that comes to comfort the heart, bringing balance to a life that has tasted too bitter. Sometimes, the cherry may represent awakening and experience—something earned through deep pain from the past. This book gathers the “cherries” the author has discovered throughout different moments of life: days of pride, and days of quietly hating oneself.
