Pipe falls in love with Newt, his island partner at a culinary college. Gathering his courage, he confesses his feelings, and to his relief, Newt feels the same. The two begin a relationship.

But one day, Newt suddenly disappears and is replaced by a stranger who now shares the same island with Pipe.

The stranger claims his name is New, and insists that he has been Pipe’s island partner since the beginning of the term. Why is Pipe looking at him as if he were a complete stranger?

It is not just New. Everyone in the class confirms his story. It turns out that Pipe is the only one who remembers Newt.

Newt’s Instagram account vanishes, replaced entirely by New’s. Everything that once belonged to Newt has been overwritten by this new version of him.

It is as if, overnight, the universe erased Newt, the boy Pipe loved, and replaced him with someone else who seems to be hiding a secret.
